About Us

Our Objectives and Purposes

  • To increase community awareness and use of the library
  • To encourage gifts and endowments for the Brunswick-Glynn County Library and to provide financial assistance for the purchase of needed items that cannot be purchased from the library budget
  • To assist the library's operation through our volunteer program
  • To sponsor programs which add to the cultural life of the community

What We Do

  • Operate the Friends of the Library Bookstore selling "gently used" books, audiobooks, CDs, videos and DVDs - Hours: Monday through Friday 1:00pm to 4:00pm, and Saturdays 10:00pm to 3:00pm at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library
  • Organize Semi-annual Used Book Sales as a fundraiser for library needs
  • Underwrite summer reading programs for children
  • Sponsor cultural and book-related programs for adults
  • Circulate a newsletter to members
  • Bring the national Reading is Fundamental (R.I.F.) program to Glynn County public school children
